We recently had a Christmas party for the GreyhoundAngels family. We booked out Billy’s Daycare for Dogs in Belmont on a Sunday afternoon. It was a huge turn out and all the dogs were great and calm.
There were three foster dogs present; Evy, Lowndsey and Silky. They all did well and Lowndsey really worked the crowd, getting pats and attention from anyone who would cuddle him!
Mouse was sent in as a ‘secret spy dog’ and here is the video from her point of view.
Our Secretary, Mel, made this brilliant cake. Every dog ate their piece, so I asked Mel if we could share it on the blog for future reference. Of course the cake would work just as well as a birthday cake!
Beef Bacon and Honey cake
2 cups of SR flour
250ml beef stock
250g of diced bacon
3 tbsp of honey
Grease a cake tin. Preheat oven to 180c. Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add in the week ingredients and mix together until it resembles cake batter. Bake in the oven for @45 minutes
250g cream cheese
4 tbsp peanut butter (smooth or crunchy up to you)
Tip: if you want to write on the cake mix together equal parts of cream cheese and vegemite and spoon into a piping bag.
Just look at these happy doggies after their cake! Try making it for your next doggie occasion and I bet your doggies will LOVE it.
