Silky the greyhound cross was rescued from a pound in a severely emaciated condition. She also had an issue with a salivary gland in her neck which was causing the swelling you can see in some of these photos.
A lovely foster carer stepped in to help Silky, drove her home, gave her a nice warm place to sleep and multiple small meals.
After just a couple of weeks she looked much better with some weight on. Her foster carer did a brilliant job!
She had some surgery to fix the salivary gland and she is now in great health. She is a little more active than the average greyhound as she has other breeds in her genetic makeup, so she would be ideal for someone who will take her for walks and include her as much as possible in their lives.
